Alex Franck's extensive background ranges from classical acting, a graduate from the Drama Center London , from the UCLA Film and Television department, Los Angeles and ICP , the International Center of Photography, New York. He acted in various short movies, student work, workshops with the likes of Theatre de Complicite London, Pantheatre Paris, Continuum movement research Los Angeles , Etienne Decroux Paris…

His visual work is greatly influenced by filmmakers, theatre and modern dance productions, playwrights and music. He tries to capture an expressive moment rooted in movement and abstraction. Having said that he also enjoys extreme sports and is a fully accomplished ski racer.

His photographic work has been exhibited at ICP , New York (group show), Pingyao International Photography Festival China under the What we Saw collective which he is a member of, AIPAD ( Association of International Photography Art Dealers ) New York, Baron Gallery New York and Paris Photo France.

His film work has been viewed on MTV Russia , MTV Ukraine and various Internet based platforms as well as published in FlypMedia New York. He just finished a video clip for the NY alternative band Slow Six and a portrait of Blair an award winner Singer/Poet based in Detroit.

He is about to embark onto an Artist residency at the Purnati Foundation for the Arts , Indonesia.

The collective What We Saw was just awarded an exhibition at ICP running from January 15 th - March 28 th 2010 in New York.
