Beginning his career as a photojournalist, Antanas Sutkus (b. 1939) has been working as an independent photographer since 1969. Based in Lithuania, he was one of the co-founders and President of the Photography Art Society of Lithuania. From 1976, Sutkus began work on a continuing project, 'People of Lithuania', in which he documents the changing life of his homeland.
