JULIA FULLERTON-BATTEN

Julia Fullerton-Batten (b. 1970, Bremen, Germany) spent her childhood in Germany and in the USA before moving to the UK in 1986. After graduating from the Berkshire College of Art and Design, she learnt the photographic craft as an assistant. Her fine art work is based around her multiple year, three-part project on teenage girls. Here she is concerned with the transition of teenage girls into womanhood, capturing the lives and feelings of children as they change from relative innocence to a heightened awareness of their future adult life.
